Active Markers provide an adhesive external patient reference point for use in proper image registration allowing visual tracking of position during a scan. These markers are placed on the patient and kept in position throughout all imaging exams providing added confidence in locating and registering anatomical structures during image fusion. The radio-opaque marker allows connection of the CIVCO general purpose electromagnetic sensor for active registration. Internal patient land marks may be used separately.

PinPoint® Multi-Modality Fiducial Markers
The disposable PinPoint marker is a breakthrough fiducial marker with a unique conical design to assist in accurate image registration under both CT and MRI applications. The passive image registration marker offers an adhesive back for easy application to the patient and is packaged non-sterile in rolls of 30 markers.
